She told the Current Affair: "He's left my family of five without any toilet or shower.

"He and his family have three bathrooms in their home and for nearly two months now, this is what he has done to my family."

The builder, identified as Nic Aquilina, from Sydney, Australia, has been accused of leaving a number of customers with unfinished bathrooms over the holidays, the outlet reports.

Single mum Debbie Healy and her four children have been forced to use a portaloo in their front lawn while they shower at their neighbours' homes.

She said: "He took my money and gave me nothing.

"I don't have any money to finish the job and the cost of the portaloo each week is crippling me.

"Nic refuses to take my calls.

"I have no more money and because of my limited wage, no bank will lend me money to fix this.

"I can't see how we will ever have a bathroom again."

Another couple, Grant and Debbie Sanders claimed they paid $67,000 to "spruce up" their home but were left with unfinished walls and peeling paint.

A Current Affair reports that the builder refused to comment when he was approached.
